At BA Williams Solicitors we aim to be as transparent as we can about our fees so you know exactly where you stand. Each client’s case / matter is different, so we aim to have a brief consultation to discuss your case /matter and thereon provide you with a clear idea of our fees, as well as any factors that could potentially increase or decrease the final cost so that there are no hidden surprises along the way

CONVEYANCING FEES

Fees estimates on a Purchase

Our charges: 

 

From £1,800 including VAT for purchases up to a price of £500,000

Then £2,160 including VAT of the price for purchases between £500,000 – £1 million * 

Then £2,640 including VAT of the price for purchases between £1 m- £1.5 million * 

Then *0.25% plus VAT of the price for purchases above £1.5 million

  • Bank Fee                                                £85 including VAT (per transfer)
  • Stamp Duty                                            (A variable amount depending on your circumstances)

You can use the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) SDLT calculator to calculate your fees.

If the property you are purchasing is a leasehold, we will also need to obtain a sale pack from the landlord and/or managing agents who look after the building. The price of these varies from landlord to landlord and, if the landlord’s consent is required for the sale to proceed, there will also be legal charges payable to the landlord’s solicitors.

Our charges:

 

From £1,800 including VAT for sales up to a price of £500,000.


Then £2,160 including VAT of the price for sales between £500,000 – £1 million*

DISBURSEMENTS:

If the property you are buying is leasehold, there will be additional charges to take into account

Fees estimates on a Re-mortgage

The process of mortgaging a property is similar to a purchase in terms of the legal work that has to be carried out for the lender.

Again, if the property is leasehold, we will also have to obtain a sale pack from the landlord and/or managing agents who look after the building.

IMMIGRATION FEES

BRITISH CITIZENSHIP

The agreed fee will cover all our work until decision by the Home Office on the application. However, it is pertinent to note that the agreed fee will not cover any disbursements to be incurred by the firm on your behalf e.g. translation of documents, Home Office fee etc.

EU LAW APPLICATION

Applications on behalf of European Economic Area (EEA) nationals and their family members under the applicable EEA Regulations or Immigration Rules, including applications for permanent residence, residence cards, and registration certificates

The agreed fee will depend on the complexity of the matter and the casework involved in the matter. The agreed fee will cover all our work until decision by the Home Office on the application. However, it is pertinent to note that the agreed fee will not cover any disbursements to be incurred by the company on your behalf e.g. translation of documents, Home Office fee etc.

STUDENT VISAS

The fee charged above is for our professional immigration services in relation to your student visa application. The agreed fee will depend on the complexity of the matter and the casework involved in the matter. The agreed fee will cover all our work until a decision by the Home Office/Embassy on the application. However, it is pertinent to note that the agreed fee will not cover any disbursements to be incurred by the company on your behalf e.g. translation of documents, Home Office fee etc.

VISIT & FAMILY VISA:

FAMILY OF BRITISH CITIZENS & SETTLED PERSONS

The fee charged above is for our professional immigration services in relation to your application. The agreed fee will depend on the complexity of the matter and the casework involved in the matter.
